Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, faced rapid growth that made planning and budgeting more complex across multiple regions, ERP systems, and thousands of finance users. The company needed a better way to unify data, improve connected planning, and give teams near real-time access to information, which led it to Oracle and Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

Using Oracle Cloud EPM, Thermo Fisher centralized data, streamlined planning and reporting, and reduced manual data gathering across finance and accounting. Oracle helped deploy more than 1,000 active planning and budgeting users, with plans to grow to 2,000, while improving governance, collaboration, and productivity; the company also plans and reports down to individual product SKUs for more granular insight, and has reduced its hardware footprint.
