The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a Vermont Destination by Hyatt, faced a major operational challenge when COVID‑19 forced the property to close for three months in 2020 while still needing to serve more than 100 resident families. Plans to move food and beverage systems to the cloud—started in 2019—were accelerated to enable in‑room and online ordering, mobile point‑of‑sale, and safer, more flexible service across the resort.
The lodge implemented Oracle Hospitality MICROS Simphony on Oracle Cloud, equipping staff with POS tablets, connecting orders to kitchens, and enabling payments anywhere on the property. The move doubled nightly orders (from about 40 to 80–100), unlocked a large partner ecosystem via Oracle Marketplace, and sped onboarding with improved training tools—helping the property achieve record revenue and greater operational efficiency.
