Case Study: The Hain Celestial Group achieves a resilient, high-performance WAN and major cost savings with Oracle SD‑WAN

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the The Hain Celestial Group Case Study

The Hain Celestial Group turns to an Oracle (formerly Talari) SD-WAN for a healthier network

The Hain Celestial Group, a leading maker of natural and organic brands such as Celestial Seasonings and Earth’s Best, faced growing network strain as applications centralized in data centers but many sites remained on limited MPLS T1 links. Employees experienced poor call quality, slow ERP and application performance, and WAN‑optimization trials failed to solve bandwidth, reliability and failover issues—forcing the company to find a more resilient, cost‑effective WAN approach.

The company deployed Oracle SD‑WAN (formerly Talari) across multiple plants and two data centers, enabling link aggregation and full use of backup Internet links. The solution improved voice, video and application performance, eliminated related helpdesk tickets, delivered better network visibility and carrier leverage, and reduced usable‑bandwidth costs by 10–15× (for example, from $453 to $40 per usable Mbps), while providing the resiliency needed for continuous operations.
