Telenor - Customer Case Study

Telenor Group, a $12B telecommunications company, needed reliable, usable DNS and global load‑balancing for its CDN serving Northern Europe and beyond. The challenge was to route users to the nearest data center for better performance while avoiding the cost and complexity of buying and managing in‑house load‑balancing hardware.

Telenor implemented Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DNS (Dyn Managed DNS and Traffic Director) using geolocation load balancing and an Anycast network, gaining granular country/region routing, unified management, scalability, and ease of use. The result was globally balanced web and CDN traffic, improved performance and uptime, and reduced hardware costs, giving the team confidence as mobile demand grows.
