VEON, a $7 billion international telecommunications company serving 212 million customers in 10 countries, faced fragmented legacy back-office systems that kept data locked in business silos and slowed responsiveness to customer needs. Disparate ERP, procurement, supply chain, and HR systems made cross‑unit reporting difficult, weakened policy enforcement in procurement, and led to off‑contract purchases and reduced productivity.
To address this, VEON partnered with Oracle to implement Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, HCM, and SCM, beginning with its Beeline operation in Uzbekistan. The integrated cloud platform cut purchase requisition approval cycle time by more than 60%, reduced maverick spending, improved cross‑organization visibility into supply chain data, and created a scalable foundation for growth as VEON plans rollouts to additional countries.
