Swansea Council streamlines property maintenance with Oracle Field Service

Swansea Council, one of the UK’s largest local authorities, manages about 13,000 homes and 800 commercial buildings with nearly 300 tradespeople. To plan appointments and record completed maintenance work, the council relied on a slow, manual process using job cards, Orchard CRM, and Oracle Time and Labor, and needed a better way to reduce effort and improve field data accuracy.

Oracle implemented Oracle Field Service for Swansea Council to automate planning, scheduling, mobile task updates, and integration with existing systems. The solution helped the council streamline work for all 300 tradespeople, improve tenant booking experiences, better coordinate complex renovation tasks, and cut task closure, reconciliation, and billing time through seamless data capture and integration back to Orchard CRM and Oracle Time and Labor.
