SuperOpa boosts efficiency in its distribution center by migrating to OCI

SuperOpa, an online marketplace for surplus food and household goods, needed to run its complex distribution center more efficiently while supporting low-latency operations, real-time inventory control, and cloud-based ecommerce systems. The company also wanted to connect its application and data lake across clouds, and it used Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Database Technologies to support this shift.

Oracle implemented OCI, including virtual networking, instances, and database services, helping SuperOpa run its distribution center 100% in the cloud. The result was just 4 milliseconds of latency, faster communication with robotic collectors, improved logistics and delivery speed, real-time data streaming, and easier scaling in minutes. SuperOpa also reported about 30% savings versus other clouds, with improved performance from Oracle Database 19c and a positive-margin operation.
