Supermarket Chain SPSA Implements Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud in Just Four Months

Supermercados Peruanos S.A. (SPSA) is one of Peru’s largest supermarket chains, operating diverse store formats and nearly $1 billion in annual sales. Rapid growth and a new distribution center in Lima increased supply-chain complexity and created an urgent need to redesign logistics, integrate with an existing SAP ERP, and be fully operational within four months ahead of peak season—requirements that made traditional licensed WMS options impractical.

SPSA implemented Oracle Warehouse Management Cloud (Oracle Cloud SCM) as a SaaS solution, enabling fast integration with SAP and on-time deployment. The cloud WMS reduced startup and IT costs, eliminated licensing fees, and provided continuous upgrades, while improving warehouse efficiency, shipping productivity, traceability, customer service, and frontline productivity through mobile access—delivering scalable, Tier‑1 functionality on a pay-as-you-go basis.
