St John Ambulance Western Australia Halves Reporting Time with Oracle EPM Cloud

St John Ambulance Western Australia is a non‑profit delivering ambulance, first‑aid training and allied health services across the state. To improve sustainability and support future expansion to 100 volunteer sub‑centres, St John needed better visibility into the financial performance of multiple business units, faster month‑end closures and more efficient budgeting and forecasting — especially for fee‑earning, contracted and charity‑funded activities.

Working with DXC Red Rock, St John migrated to Oracle Cloud EPM Planning (Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), which automated calculations, enabled offline regional access and provided rolling‑forecast capabilities. The move halved month‑end reporting time (from 10 to 5 days), cut forecasting from a week to half a day, improved funding allocation and user confidence, reduced IT overheads with automatic upgrades, and made future rollout to volunteer centres easier.
