SSA Spot Apartments, a Finland-based operator of 120 units across seven Helsinki locations that caters mainly to corporate long-stay guests, runs a self-service model with no on-site reception. Their previous system functioned mostly as a reservation calendar and lacked reporting, integration, and centralized control, making it difficult to manage dispersed properties, monitor operations, and develop the business.

Spot implemented Oracle Hospitality’s OPERA Cloud PMS to centralize data and operations, integrate their custom guest-entry system, and eliminate on-site servers and manual processes. The platform automated guest notifications and access codes, pushed housekeeping tasks to tablets, improved visibility for management and accounting, reduced IT complexity, and enabled scalable growth—supporting new initiatives like the upcoming VALO Hotel Helsinki—while improving service and operational efficiency.
