Shun Shing Group cuts IT costs and improves uptime with Oracle Cloud

Shun Shing Group, a Hong Kong-based cement trader and manufacturer, was struggling with fragmented IT systems from multiple vendors, rising infrastructure costs, and limited scalability as demand grew. The company needed a more stable way to support its 24/7 shipping, manufacturing, and trading operations and chose Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to migrate its on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite environment.

Oracle implemented OCI with Oracle Enterprise Database Service and Oracle Data Guard to support production and disaster recovery, helping unify tools on one platform and improve high availability. The results included uptime rising from around 80–85% to 95%+, along with a 30% reduction in IT costs, better operational control, and fewer disruptions to critical logistics and manufacturing processes.
