Sedar Global leverages Oracle APEX to enhance end users’ reporting capabilities

Sedar Global, a leading home furnishings company, needed a better way to support its highly customized business processes and improve reporting across finance, procurement, inventory, sales, and logistics. Its team used Oracle APEX to build a bespoke enterprise application suite called Spine, but when it later wanted more advanced dashboards and analytics, AWS could not support the latest Oracle APEX version they needed.

Oracle helped Sedar Global move its development and production workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) so the company could use the newest Oracle APEX capabilities. With Oracle, Sedar now supports more than 450 reports, delivers dashboards for every Spine module, and improves productivity for showroom sales staff, while also gaining stronger security, better control over resources, and greater pricing flexibility than on AWS.
