Case Study: HID Global achieves 50–66% OpEx savings and cuts contract onboarding from weeks to hours with Oracle Cloud

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the HID Global Case Study

Security leader HID transforms their back and front office using Oracle Cloud and saves 50 to 66% in OpEx

HID Global, a leader in secure identity solutions, needed to transform from a perpetual-license product company into a provider of technology-driven digital products and subscription revenue. To support an aggressive $1 billion growth target and remove capital- and personnel-intensive data center operations, HID sought a secure enterprise cloud — ultimately choosing Oracle Cloud with migration partner Centroid after ruling out AWS for production workloads.

Centroid used a turnkey “pilot-to-production” accelerator to migrate E-Business Suite, Agile PLM and other systems (moving EBS in under 12 hours) and upgraded EBS to support subscription billing. The move delivered a modern, scalable IT platform, redeployed data center staff to revenue-generating work, cut OpEx by an estimated 50–66% over four years, reduced contract onboarding from four weeks to hours, and enabled rapid provisioning of application and database servers.
