Schenck Process, a global leader in measuring and process technology serving industries from mining and cement to food and pharmaceuticals, needed to standardize and speed up quote-to-order across its merged and distributed operations. The company was hindered by slow, paper-based quoting, complex pricing lists, and lengthy approval cycles, and required a scalable CPQ solution to help sales reps produce accurate, timely quotes.
Schenck Process implemented Oracle Configure, Price, and Quote (CPQ) Cloud and rolled it out globally between 2011 and 2013. The cloud solution reduced order-entry and review time, enabled about 275 salespeople to produce complete, technically accurate quotes (including spare parts, service estimates, and drawings), improved customer engagement, and scaled to support growth—doubling commerce transactions, tripling internal adoption, increasing external adoption 50–70%, and lowering staffing costs through automation while ensuring high system availability.
