Rutgers modernizes financial processes with Oracle EPM

Rutgers University, a large public research university, faced major financial and systems challenges after merging with units from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. With duplicate systems and a growing need for cloud-based scalability, vendor-managed disaster recovery, and modern financial processes, Rutgers turned to Oracle for help, selecting Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

Oracle implemented Cloud EPM and ERP to consolidate financial data, improve reconciliation and reporting, and support planning across the university. As a result, Rutgers improved financial data reliability, sped up its audit process, and moved from an annual close to a monthly close. Oracle also helped Rutgers centralize more than 1,000 balance sheet accounts, rationalize and eliminate over 300 of them, and strengthen forecasting and remote operations during COVID-19.
