RTBF.be uses Oracle Cloud to empower civil solidarity

Radio Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française (RTBF) is the public broadcaster for Belgium’s French-speaking community and the founder of CAP48, a charity supporting people with disabilities. To fund CAP48, RTBF’s Direction Générale Technologies et Exploitation runs Golf48, an annual corporate charity golf tournament. With just 30 volunteers, RTBF needed a secure, easy-to-use online registration portal for participants to submit personal and payment details, plus anytime access to registration data and reports to coordinate sponsors, catering, and event logistics.

RTBF implemented Oracle Database Cloud Service and built the registration site with Oracle APEX, deploying a branded, secure sign-up form in under a week. Oracle’s managed cloud features (one‑click backup, patching, upgrades) cut administrative work by tens of hours, sped sponsor and participant communications, and improved event professionalism and convenience. The solution helped RTBF raise more than €180,000 over three years to improve mobility and living conditions for people with disabilities.
