A Oracle Case Study
RLB Systems, a 60-employee software integrator based in Mauritius, builds turnkey revenue-collection and compliance solutions for governments. Facing aging servers that created a single point of failure, repeated performance bottlenecks at peak cycle times, limited storage, and the need to support 2,700 users across 400 locations, RLB needed a more reliable, scalable platform to speed time-to-market, reduce administration overhead, and avoid downtime.
RLB implemented Oracle Database Appliance with Oracle Real Application Clusters and Engineered Systems, consolidating servers, storage, and networking into a high-availability appliance. The deployment eliminated recurring performance issues, enabled rolling online patches with zero downtime, and provided ample capacity for 156,000 daily transactions and 44 million records. As a result, RLB simplified management, reduced total cost of ownership with pay-as-you-grow licensing, and helped government clients improve real-time national reporting, revenue collection, and compliance.
