Case Study: Ricoh Europe achieves process automation and CO2 reductions with Oracle E-Business Suite

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Ricoh Case Study

Ricoh Europe Automates Business Processes Reduces Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Paper Usage

Ricoh Europe plc, a subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd. with about 17,000 employees across 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, needed to standardize, streamline, and digitize front- and back-office processes to improve customer service, scale its office and IT services, and reduce environmental impact—specifically CO2 emissions, paper use, and supply-chain transport costs.

Working with Oracle and partner Infosys, Ricoh implemented Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Siebel Handheld, and a private virtualized cloud to centralize processes and logistics. The program enabled satellite warehouses and mobile field tools for 2,500 engineers, decommissioned 1,600 servers (cutting data-center energy use by 85%), reduced transportation-related CO2 and paper use, and earned recognition with Oracle’s Eco-Enterprise award while supporting Ricoh’s long-term emissions-reduction targets.
