A Oracle Case Study
Ricoh, traditionally known for office equipment, shifted toward IoT and a “digital workplace” strategy to offer sensing and cloud services across industries like healthcare, retail, and public transportation. The company needed a centralized authentication and authorization system to improve customer convenience with single sign-on for internal and external applications and to securely scale access across many services and user types.
Ricoh deployed Oracle Identity Cloud Service to consolidate identity management, enabling customers to access multiple services with one ID and allowing Ricoh to connect new services in hours using templates. The solution improved user experience, increased business agility, met strict B2B/B2C security requirements (supporting OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect and federation), provided flexibility as identity or service provider, and ensured ongoing security through frequent updates.
