Case Study: Retraced achieves blockchain-verified, scalable supply-chain transparency for ethical fashion with Oracle Cloud

A Oracle Case Study

Preview of the Retraced Case Study

retraced keeps ethical sourcing in fashion

retraced is a startup that gives fashion brands and consumers visibility into where and how garments are made, addressing a widespread lack of transparency around subcontracted factory work. Its challenge was to build a trustworthy, verifiable supply‑chain system that proves who made each item, from what materials, and under what conditions so brands can reliably communicate ethical practices to customers.

retraced built a blockchain-enabled platform on Oracle Cloud using Autonomous Database, Autonomous JSON Database, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Blockchain Platform, and Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes. The solution captures and protects orders, supplier records, images, and verification steps as immutable data, scales to thousands of requests, and lets the small team add capacity on demand — enabling a launch in 12 months and early customers such as CANO and Jyoti – Fair Works.
