REACH, a marketing firm and business unit of IVE Group in New Zealand, needed a more scalable and secure way to run its core business systems after years of using Oracle Forms and relying on a third-party provider. The company wanted greater control over application environments, lower admin overhead, and faster delivery of new initiatives, so it turned to Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle APEX.
Oracle helped REACH migrate about 100GB of data and its applications to OCI in just two weeks, setting up the tenancy, networking, Autonomous Transaction Processing, and Oracle APEX with support from Oracle Cloud Lift Services. As a result, REACH cut IT operating costs by 30%, reduced database administrator tasks to negligible levels, and no longer needed constant OS-level monitoring and patching.
