Raízen, a major Brazilian integrated energy company behind the Shell Box app, wanted to grow fuel payments, in-store purchases at Shell Select, and new customer acquisition while re-engaging inactive users. To meet these goals, Raízen chose Oracle Responsys Campaign Management to help build campaigns using real-time customer data, behavior, and demographics.

Oracle implemented Oracle Responsys with email, push, and SMS channels, plus forms and gamification tools to personalize outreach and drive repeat purchases. The result was higher app usage and engagement, reactivation of dormant users, and record performance in March 2022, including a 51% higher click-to-open rate than the prior month, 129% higher revenue, and 30% more transactions.
