Qatar Islamic Insurance Group (QIIG), one of Qatar’s largest insurance providers, needed to replace aging on-premises infrastructure that was slowing expansion and consuming IT time with manual maintenance. To support its operational workloads and digital transformation goals, QIIG chose Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle Cloud Lift Services.

Oracle helped QIIG migrate critical applications and databases to OCI, provisioning 32 virtual machines and keeping go-live downtime under 8 hours. With Oracle, QIIG achieved 99.99% availability, better performance and security, and a 30% reduction in total cost of ownership, while automating maintenance tasks and moving from CapEx to OpEx.
