Pusan National University Used Oracle Mobile Cloud Service to Train Highly Functional Personnel

Pusan National University (PNU), the leading national university in Southeastern Korea, reorganized its curriculum under a government software-focused initiative to better prepare students for the mobile IT industry. The challenge was to give both major and non‑major students practical cloud and mobile development experience, foster startup- and job‑ready skills in hybrid app development, and do so cost‑effectively without heavy platform overhead.

PNU adopted Oracle Mobile Cloud Service along with Oracle JET and the MAX codeless tool to deliver hands‑on classes that combined theory and practical app development. The program produced hybrid and native apps more quickly using Oracle’s APIs, strengthened the curriculum with real-world training and expert lectures, reduced total cost of ownership for the platform, and drove strong student uptake with plans to expand courses.
