PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), Indonesia’s largest private bank serving more than 10 million customers via 1,000+ branches, 12,500 ATMs and extensive digital channels, needed a fast, reliable, reusable e‑payment solution and tighter integration across teller, ATM, mobile and corporate systems. The bank’s goals were to accelerate B2B/B2C transaction processing, lower server and licensing costs, respond quickly to regulatory and business changes, and keep production-site capacity under 50% during peak hours.
BCA deployed Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Exalogic (with InfiniBand) to integrate core systems and standardize e‑payments. The solution increased throughput to as much as 600 TPS (a 10x improvement), supported 5 million daily transactions, cut e‑payment processing from two weeks to two days, delivered high availability with zero downtime across two sites, and reduced costs while speeding time to market for new services.
