A Oracle Case Study
Promata GmbH is a 35‑year, owner‑run marketing support agency serving automotive manufacturers and dealer networks, managing some 300 projects a year, ~265,000 vehicle deliveries and ~650,000 documents while overseeing more than US$1 billion in budgets. Faced with increasingly complex, fast‑moving campaigns and rising demands for detailed, auditable reporting and data protection, Promata’s externally hosted IT stack was too slow, inflexible, and costly — prompting a need for more performance, scalability, security, and at least a 20% cost reduction.
Promata migrated its entire Oracle environment — more than 200 applications and ~1.5 TB of data — to Oracle Cloud PaaS/IaaS, upgraded to Oracle Database 12c with partitioning, and adopted Oracle Cloud services and flexible financing. The move cut external IT costs by about 30%, reduced batch runtimes by 37.5% (40 to 25 minutes), enabled encrypted storage of sensitive data, preserved a sub‑0.1% error rate, and delivered on-demand scalability and faster provisioning for new campaigns and audits.
