Portobello S.A., one of Brazil’s largest ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturers with 2,200 employees and 115 franchised stores, needed to scale its IT systems to support about 20% annual growth. Portobello upgraded to Oracle Database 11g and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12, deployed Oracle iProcurement, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle Process Manufacturing, and used the E-Business Suite User Productivity Kit for training, completing the project in eight months with partner Innovative Management Consulting. The implementation cut procurement time from 10 minutes to 2, improved data availability and reporting speed, simplified tax-software integration, increased product availability across channels, and delivered an infrastructure able to support continued growth.
