Pearson gains security and flexibility in budget planning with Oracle Cloud EPM

Pearson, the world’s largest learning company, needed a more secure, flexible, and collaborative way to manage budget planning after its previous tool proved too customized and limited in scenario planning. With operations spanning many countries and brands, Pearson also wanted better protection for sensitive financial data and the ability to support more users efficiently. Oracle Cloud EPM was chosen to meet these needs.

Oracle implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management, giving Pearson stronger access controls, better scenario planning, and more reliable budget management. The results were significant: budget reviews dropped from more than three days to just 12 hours, Pearson could budget around 9,000 products in the tool, and payroll costs fell by about 20%. The project was completed in three months, with support from KPMG and Oracle guidance.
