PACK Solutions Delights Insurers with Safeguards Provided by Oracle

PACK Solutions SAS, a French insurance services firm managing 500,000 contracts (over €3 billion in outstanding loans), faced rapid growth that threatened to double its turnover and contract volume. To industrialize operations while meeting strict ACPR and finance ministry regulations, the company needed to migrate legacy Dell-hosted Oracle databases to a more secure, scalable infrastructure that could provide up to 10x more disk capacity, encryption and data masking, remote disaster recovery, and minimal migration cost by preserving existing contract data.

PACK deployed Oracle Engineered Systems—an Oracle Database Appliance running Oracle Database Enterprise Edition with Partitioning, Advanced Security, Diagnostics and Tuning packs, and data masking. The move delivered required disk, compute and memory capacity, real-time replication to a remote appliance with zero data loss, and faster processing (thousands of simultaneous orders) plus halved scripting time through better diagnostics. Insurer clients were reassured by enhanced data protection and reliability, and PACK positioned itself for future cloud migration and continued growth.
