Oracle Cloud Helps Maine Make Data-backed Decisions

The State of Maine needed to modernize government reporting and analytics, replacing a 20-year-old legacy BI and database environment that made it slow and difficult for staff and legislative partners to access data. Oracle implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse to consolidate data from multiple sources and provide governed, high-performance access to decision-makers. The results were significant: monthly expenditure, revenue, and cash reports are now available daily for tens of thousands of programs, trial balance generation dropped from a monthly process to seconds, and the finance team reduced database administration costs while improving reconciliation, budgeting, and federal reporting.
