Oracle Autonomous Database powers insights for PTG Energy

PTG Energy is a major Thai fuel distributor and retailer with more than 500 oil trucks, 1,800+ service stations, 200 convenience stores and a loyalty program of over 10 million customers. Rapid daily transaction growth from multiple sources overwhelmed its on‑premises databases, leaving reports out of date and inaccurate and making it hard to prevent stockouts and supply‑chain shortfalls. The company prioritized moving to a scalable cloud analytics platform that would deliver timely, accurate insights while reducing IT maintenance.

PTG implemented Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Analytics and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure/Compute to handle data volume and complexity and to cut administration through self‑tuning, self‑securing and self‑repairing capabilities. The result: insight delivery times fell from days to minutes, executives can quickly compare sales and inventory at any level, and store operators use data to optimize product placement and replenishment—improving customer experience and lowering inventory costs.
