NU-MED consolidates hospital information systems with Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud

NU-MED, a healthcare company serving 50,000 patients a year in Poland, needed to replace its aging on-premises Hospital Information System (HIS) so it could support growth and improve the patient experience. The company also wanted stronger data security and privacy protections, and chose Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to meet those needs.

Oracle implemented the HIS workload in Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud in Frankfurt, using Oracle Compute and Database Service to run the third-party system. As a result, NU-MED gained enhanced digital sovereignty safeguards, improved infrastructure security for patient data, and expects significant cost savings versus its on-premises setup, with the case study noting reductions of over 75%.
