Novatech modernizes manufacturing processes with Oracle APEX

Novatech, a doors and windows manufacturer with 15 factories across North America and France, needed to modernize its aging Oracle E-Business Suite apps and replace risky Excel and Access “satellite applications.” The company also wanted to eliminate manual spreadsheet updates for about 300 customer price lists and reduce security, data integrity, and maintenance issues. Oracle APEX and Oracle Database were used to support this transition.

Oracle implemented Oracle APEX to extend EBS, replace ad hoc and Forms-based apps, and create a more secure, low-code development approach. The result was a 50% reduction in development time, improved data security and productivity, and better reporting and access to single-source EBS data. Oracle APEX also helped Novatech react faster to market needs, increase manufacturing efficiency, and generate more user requests for future enhancements.
