A Oracle Case Study
NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) supports the English health system by distributing more than £250 billion annually, but it found that changing critical IT systems through a managed on-premises service was cumbersome, costly, and caused downtime. It needed a more efficient way to manage its data and finance operations, and turned to Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Oracle implemented Oracle Exadata Database Service on OCI to automate data integrations and improve the organization’s finance platform. The result was faster supplier payments, greater payment accuracy, and more efficient staff workflows, delivering savings of around half a million pounds for NHS Shared Business Services, while also creating a stronger and more cohesive finance service across the NHS.
