Nexen Tire Corp., a global tire manufacturer selling to over 150 countries with multiple offices and branches, faced slow access to customer data and lengthy order processing in its SAP ERP system. To stay competitive it needed a standardized global sales portal that would give managers real-time pipeline visibility, speed up order handling, reduce maintenance overhead, and complete a cloud migration within a tight timeframe.
Nexen implemented Oracle Sales Cloud and Oracle Platform as a Service (including Oracle Database and Java Cloud Services) integrated with its SAP ERP, standardizing the global sales system. As a result, order processing accelerated threefold (from three days to under one), the cloud migration finished in four months instead of nine, customer service and mobile access to real-time product/pricing improved, sales productivity and decision-making were enhanced through analytics, and implementation and maintenance costs and security posture were strengthened.
