A Oracle Case Study
Nahdi Medical Company, one of the largest pharmacy retailers in Saudi Arabia, faced a surge in demand during the COVID-19 pandemic as daily online orders jumped from a few thousand to more than 20,000. With more than 1,150 pharmacies, 160+ trucks, and four distribution centers, its manual shipment planning and limited shipment-execution visibility were straining logistics operations. Nahdi Medical turned to Oracle Logistics, including Oracle Transportation Management and Oracle Warehouse Management, to modernize its supply chain.
Oracle implemented automated shipment planning, route optimization, tracking, and warehouse automation to improve fulfillment and delivery performance. As a result, Nahdi Medical increased vehicle utilization by 5% to 10%, sped up proof-of-delivery communication by an average of 10 hours per shipment, and improved stock availability across its pharmacies. Oracle also helped Nahdi reduce operating costs, improve compliance, and raise employee satisfaction, with a 96% pharmacist satisfaction rating and an 80% driver satisfaction rating shortly after implementation.
