Munich Re HealthTech, part of Munich Re, needed a better way to handle large volumes of unstructured insurance data for its SMAART analytics platform, while also meeting growing data residency and disaster recovery requirements across multiple countries. The company turned to Oracle AI Database on Oracle Autonomous AI Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Generative AI to modernize the app and support faster reporting, advanced analytics, and compliance.

Using Oracle, Munich Re HealthTech moved SMAART to OCI with no code changes and added Oracle Globally Distributed Autonomous Database, OCI Generative AI, and Oracle APEX. The result was stronger security, scalability, and compliance, plus faster analytics and reporting; dashboard creation time dropped from 15 days to about 20 minutes, and the AI chatbot now answers over 90% of questions accurately in seconds.
