Multicenter, Bolivia’s largest department store retailer, needed a better way to run its distribution center after managing four warehouses with pen-and-paper processes and limited visibility into more than 10,000 products. The lack of traceability and inaccurate inventory data were hurting productivity, process efficiency, and service levels, leading Multicenter to turn to Oracle Warehouse Management.

Oracle implemented Oracle Warehouse Management as part of Oracle Cloud SCM to centralize and digitize warehouse operations. The results were immediate: picking time dropped from 5 minutes per line to 1 minute, distribution center productivity and efficiency improved by 80%, and inventory accuracy increased from 70% to 95%. Multicenter also gained 100% operational traceability and was able to handle an 800% surge in ecommerce demand during COVID-19 shutdowns.
