Preview of the Mitsubishi Corporation Case Study

Mitsubishi Builds a Flexible and Scalable Management Platform to Increase Business Agility and Support Future Consolidation

Mitsubishi Corporation, a global trading company with more than 200 offices and seven core business groups, faced the challenge of consolidating 600 subsidiaries and building flexible, business-critical trading and accounting systems to improve operating efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and meet new compliance requirements (including IFRS and changes to Japan’s Corporation Act). The company also needed to standardize services across diverse groups, increase visibility into approval processes, and create an easy-to-use platform for future rollouts.

Mitsubishi implemented Oracle Fusion Middleware (including Oracle SOA Suite, Service Bus, BPM Suite, ADF, WebCenter, WebLogic, and Oracle Database) with support from Oracle Consulting and Tata Consultancy Services Japan to create a scalable, integrated management platform. The new solution reduced development time and costs, enabled seamless integration with heterogeneous systems, delivered real-time visibility and stronger internal controls, simplified user interfaces and workflows for broad adoption, and supported global expansion of the consolidated business-management platform.
