Minor Hotels improves business continuity with Oracle Cloud

Minor Hotels, a major Thai hospitality company operating 535 hotels across 55 countries, needed to modernize its mission-critical financial, procurement, and BI systems while reducing the high maintenance and cost of its existing IBM managed services environment. It also wanted to strengthen business continuity and meet GDPR requirements by improving its 24-hour recovery time and recovery point objectives.

Oracle helped Minor Hotels move Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Hyperion, and Oracle BI to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, using Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Resource Manager automation, and Oracle Database Cloud Services. The result was a major improvement in business continuity, cutting RTO and RPO from 24 hours to 2 hours, while also improving operational efficiency, performance, compliance, flexibility, and costs.
