Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali Consolidates Data Warehouse, Supporting More Effective Labor Policy Through Accurate Analytics

Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali is Italy’s national ministry for labor and social policy, responsible for employment services, social protection, and coordinating regional labor initiatives. It faced fragmented, sometimes incompatible data from territorial bodies and job agencies, slow and costly BI processes, and a need for a single, auditable source of truth to design effective labor policies, target training programs, and monitor outcomes.

The ministry deployed an end-to-end Oracle solution—including SPARC T4-4 hardware, Oracle Solaris, Database, Data Integrator, SOA Suite, Business Intelligence, BPM and Exalytics—with Oracle Consulting, Advanced Support and partner i-Consulting. This created a unified data warehouse, cut data consolidation times dramatically (from around 20 hours to as little as 10 minutes for some tasks and to just over 4 hours for regional feeds), reduced paper-based work, improved analytics and policy evaluation, enabled targeted training programs, and delivered transparent, auditable workflows for stakeholders.
