Preview of the Military Credit Fund Case Study

Military Credit Fund Improves Database Speed, Cuts Costs and Shortens Time to Respond to Customer Queries by 50%

Military Credit Fund is a nonprofit financial institution in Amman, Jordan, established in 2010 to provide Sharia‑compliant banking services to more than 200,000 public servants affiliated with the Jordanian Armed Forces. The fund needed to replace aging, stand‑alone servers, deliver core banking, customer records and ATM data across multiple branches, improve stability and security, and cut capital and operating costs while ensuring flawless compliance with Islamic Murabaha rules.

Working with Oracle Consulting and partner STS, the fund migrated Oracle Database to two SPARC T4‑1 servers running Oracle Solaris, completing the deployment in five months. The consolidated hardware and software reduced licensing and operational expenses, boosted transaction and data performance by 40–50%, and cut financial query response times by about 50%, delivering faster, more reliable customer service and full regulatory compliance.
