Metallo Group Expands Business Intelligence to All Operations with Oracle

Metallo Group, a metals recycler that processes about 350,000 tons of complex, low‑grade scrap a year, needed better visibility across finance, production, maintenance and environmental compliance. Managers were forced to work from disparate legacy systems (many IBM AS/400 instances) with inconsistent figures, so the company sought a modern business intelligence platform to consolidate data, visualize material flows and compliance metrics, and automate reporting.

Working with Oracle and partner i4BI, Metallo deployed Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Oracle Data Visualization, Oracle Data Integrator and Big Data to build a centralized data warehouse and self‑service analytics. The solution now serves about 60 users across departments, reserves HSE data for regulatory monitoring, delivers daily and monthly reports, saved one full‑time IT role, and is being rolled out to additional functions and a Spanish plant—providing a single source of truth, consistent KPIs and faster, actionable insights.
