Mazda Motors Logistics improves agility by migrating IT to Oracle Cloud

Mazda Motor Logistics Europe, which distributes cars and parts across Europe and provides financial and IT services to Mazda entities, wanted to modernize its IT and move out of its data centers without heavily changing its VMware and database environments. To support this shift, Mazda worked with Oracle and evaluated Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, and Oracle Exadata Database Service.

Oracle helped Mazda migrate its production workloads to OCI, consolidating customer experience, sales, transportation management, Oracle E-Business Suite, and other critical applications without disruption. Mazda also moved 80 Oracle Exadata database environments to OCI, preserved performance and availability, and closed two data centers; today, 85% of its IT runs on OCI, improving agility, productivity, efficiency, and compliance.
