Maynooth University boosts resiliency with OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery

Maynooth University, part of the National University of Ireland, needed to protect its core administrative systems from downtime that could disrupt operations for its 16,000 students and 100,000 alumni network. After moving its JD Edwards financial management and procurement applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Database Service, the university looked to Oracle to strengthen resiliency and disaster recovery.

With guidance from Redfaire, Maynooth University implemented Oracle OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery to automate security and recovery across applications and infrastructure. The university now regularly simulates disasters and can fail over to a geographically separate OCI region with only minutes of downtime, improving availability and productivity.
