A Oracle Case Study
Mashburn Construction, a full-service general contractor founded in 1976 in Columbia, SC, was struggling with a fragmented subcontractor payment process: paper and faxed invoices, multiple conflicting versions of the same bill, and inadequate internal controls that led to time-consuming reconciliations and the risk of paying unapproved change orders. This operational weakness created significant financial exposure and constrained project and accounting productivity.
To address this, Mashburn piloted and then rolled out the Oracle Textura Payment Management Cloud Service (CPM), engaging subcontractors and standardizing workflows across offices. CPM created a single, web-based source of truth for invoices and change orders, improved compliance tracking and sped payments, and automated routing and notifications. As a result Mashburn cut administrative hours (about 20 hours per 30 pay applications and measurable savings for project managers and admins), scaled business growth without adding accounting staff, and improved margins and profitability.
