Macmillan Science and Education Modernizes Human Resources Processes with Flexible and Cost-Effective Cloud Solution

Macmillan Science and Education (part of Springer Nature) is a global publisher with operations in more than 50 countries and about 6,000 employees. The company faced fragmented, duplicated HR systems across regions and needed to consolidate and standardize HR processes to operate as a single global organization and manage people more efficiently.

MSE selected Oracle HCM Cloud and, with implementation support from Cognizant, rolled out the solution across nine Asian countries to 1,000 employees in six months and developed a global HR template. The cloud system provided a single source of accurate master data, standardized processes from hiring to absence management, improved visibility, collaboration, and communications, reduced the need for remedial data work, and enabled integration with other tools—with plans to expand the rollout worldwide.
