Los Angeles County Assessor modernizes with Oracle Cloud

Los Angeles County Assessor, the largest local assessment agency in the U.S., needed to modernize a paper-based, mainframe-dependent process for reviewing more than 400,000 property documents and completing 500,000 appraisals each year. It partnered with Oracle and Oracle Consulting, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Exadata Cloud Service to continue its custom Assessor Modernization Project.

Oracle helped migrate the application and 80 servers from on-premises systems to the cloud, reducing infrastructure burden and enabling the team to focus on development. The move delivered cost savings, better performance, and faster page loads, while data processing jobs that once took up to 8 hours now run in half the time. Oracle also provided disaster recovery support, improving resilience and user experience.
