Lojas Colombo Uses Marketing Automation to Boost Online Sales

Lojas Colombo, a dominant southern Brazil retailer with more than 50 years in business and a customer base of 2.3 million contacts, wanted to grow its e-commerce audience and strengthen customer loyalty. To do this it partnered with Oracle Gold Partner Pmweb to design a marketing automation lifecycle program that could scale personalized engagement across channels.

Using Oracle Marketing Cloud, the company deployed cross-channel, content and social marketing with advanced targeting and segmentation—welcome emails, social invites and personalized triggers (birthday messages, cart-abandonment reminders, price alerts and cross-sells). The program drove strong results: 80% of web traffic comes from recurring customers, open rates reached up to 2.9x the market average, and automated campaigns generated 20x–55x the revenue of regular broadcast emails.
