Frozen Mountain Software develops real-time communication SDKs and services (LiveSwitch, IceLink, WebSync) used in applications across 47 countries. Because LiveSwitch operates as both an SFU and MCU, it requires very low latency, high bandwidth, and heavy CPU performance to forward, mix, and route audio/video streams in real time—so the company needed a cloud platform that delivered top-tier performance at a competitive cost.

Frozen Mountain moved LiveSwitch deployments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, running VMs for load balancers, gateway servers, Redis datastores, and media servers. OCI provided the required low latency and bandwidth while delivering roughly double the price-performance of their prior solution, translating into significant cost savings and better compute-per-dollar for development, testing, demos, and customer environments.
